So, for the next 3-4 months, we can expect:
– plenty of manufactured issues along the lines of intolerance, award-wapasi, azaadi & freedom of expression,
– plenty of articles by ‘intellectuals’ about how India is the worst place to live in right now and how the emergency was better,
– multiple instances of pseudo-liberals using their freedom of expression to protest that there is no freedom of expression,
– a few more Umar Khalids & Kanhaiya Kumars to be propped up
– all this to be well ‘reported’ by NDTV, India Today, the Telegraph & their ilk.

For the next 3-4 months, please do not expect stories about:
– how many grass-root level people have received financial inclusion and financial stability
– how many villages have been electrified
– how many new small businesses have been set up with the state’s funding
– how many jobs have started to be created because of the FDI that’s started to flow in through Make in India
– how many people have gotten skilled through Skill India
– how many post offices have gotten digitised through Digital India
– how India will climb in the ‘ease of doing business’ rankings &
– how we will be the fastest growing country in the world
– how there is a significant drop in corruption at all levels across India
