Narendra Modi is made of stern stuff.

In the morning he made a tough announcement resulting in his biggest personal loss of face so far, and in the evening he is in Jhansi, facing the crowd calmly.

Only a true Karmayogi can do this. I am disappointed, like most of his supporters, but can’t help admire the man’s equanimity and stoicism in the face of victory and defeat alike.

I was disappointed when Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) decided to form a govt with Mehbooba Mufti in J&K, but then, #Article370 was repealed.

I was disappointed when Pulwama happened, but then, the surgical strikes happened.

I was disappointed when the 2nd wave was badly managed, but then, the vaccination drive has been brilliant.

This time too, I will keep calm and trust Modi, because no matter how big my disappointment is, I appreciate and applaud the PM leading from the front and making the announcement himself, rather than giving out a press release or leave the job to the minister for agriculture. Plus the plethora of excellence in governance India has seen in the past 7+ yrs has been unlike ever before.

There are some geniuses who are saying that Modi is the same as Rahul is in opportunistic politics. And while I marvel at their stupidity, I can’t imagine how someone can compare a well trained galloping racehorse who took a stumble with a dimwit donkey.

I trust my vote. I trust Narendra Modi.
