Baipan Bhaari Deva, as of yesterday, has grossed a whopping 72Cr at the Indian box office and 85Cr at the global box office. It was produced at a budget of ONLY 5Cr.
This makes it the 3rd highest grossing Marathi film globally, following Sairaat (110Cr) and Ved (85Cr). It has also become the 2nd highest grossing Marathi film in India, second only to Sairaat (80Cr), having eclipsed Ved (60Cr) about 10 days ago.
This film is a emotional-comedy-dramatic commentary through the story of six sisters who are separated from each other, and face (and overcome) multiple problems of family, personal and financial nature. The cast is pretty much all women-led.
